We have seen a number of occurrences of the detector failing to get armed following an exception from trying to read the AreaDetector pin tip centring. See here

Note, to fix this it may just be easier to port the grid detection code over to use the newer pin tip detection, rather than work out why this is happening (#1068)

Deployed yesterday and saw no similar bugs overnight, I'm going to call this done
