Hello guys, I create this issue to gather suggestions for clan system, please let me know what kind of cool ideal you have for clan, the use cases and even the basic required functionality :D

From the top of my mind:

  • Clan chat
  • Clan Dungeons
  • Clan Research system to get new and powerful caches
  • Clan Missions maybe to level up the clan and therefore accessing new researches, etc.

Clan Effort - together with other clan members you donate/kill/research to unlock perks like faster research times, faster travel, shorter jobs. Perks could have levels that clan could level up to increase benefits 🙂 Maybe it would also be good to introduce clan levels so it's easier for users to judge how good the clan is, WDYT?

Clan quests - A quest that has lots of things to do. Can be accessed by any clan member. Everyone gets the reward.

I think it would be a great thing to have Clan Bosses, maybe a different one each week. All clan members would need to participate in order to defeat it. You could limit the attempts to 3 for each clan member via clan keys that refresh every 24hrs.

The clan bosses could also have varying degrees of difficulties, each with better loot to distribute amongst participants. You could implement clan research via bitcoin donations to provide buffs to each member during the clan boss battles to increase the chance of defeating him before the 7 days expire.

For clan dungeons I'm imagining a massive dungeon that just isn't feasible for a single player to work through and even for a group might take a few days to map out all the rooms and explore. Dungeon could reset each week and clearing it could improve the clan rating.

Clan rating could give small % boosts to idle activities such as greater odds of finding rare caches are more faster XP on print / med / ammo idling.

Perhaps clan dungeons there could be caches that already specify the item type like rareBootsCacheOfLife which will always give that type of item. That could also make for some interesting player market sales.

Clan market / bank so we can share the drops we don't need with others. Maybe it works just like player market where we have X number of slots to post stuff but they default to 0 BTC so others can freely withdrawal. Might need a daily limit on withdrawals though to prevent abuse.

Clans to made up of 6 - 10 players. Weekly challenges like loot a certain amount of xp. Or clan dungeons with a mega boss with 100% escape minimum 10% required by clan member to receive rewards or receive points that go towards a point based leauge system. If we did a leauge system with 10 to a clan it could go sonething like 1 point for every member that reaches 10% of the enemy boss kill. When reaching 10% you are automatically done with your part. If only 7 members complete the task its 7 points to the clan. Rewards can be based off points. 3 points bronze rewards 5 silver 8 gold 10 platinum. This would also act like trophyd that would be based on clans page. Clan has 8 platinum 4 gold ect ect. Clans can vote out members that dont take part but if completing your part you can't be kicked by vote only by clan leader.
When entering dungeon all weapons stats of every player and every clan revert to exactly the same. The reason for this is to stop high level players joining together and dominating if leauge style. .

The gang should be listed from no. 1 to last place. Each player can fight PvP against any other player, if you win you move above the other player in rank. You can fight the gang leader for control, if you win you are now leader. However if you lose you get booted from the gang.

As leader you have full control of kicking, inviting and re-ranking players.

Just like a Klingon war ship.

Clan Resources - Shared inventory and bank between members for faster exchange and possibly other resources like tech parts.

Clans could earn points in certain ways like boss battles and clan dungeons. Then those points could go towards a bonus for the whole clan, like bonus damage, armour etc. Could just be a timed buff or a permanent one.

Got to say. S3ervant has the best idea with a big dungeon that requires everyone's help to complete.

I agree with Tripplehelix, clan points that can be used for certain buffs would be interesting, especially since if it's a timed buff it would further promote cooperation and organisation within guilds

I also agree with S3rvant's idea of a big dungeon

Have ranks in guild like co-leader, Elder etc that give more permissions than a normal member so that the leader can get some help with managing a guild. A co-leader will have the same abilities as the Leader just that his/her powers don't apply for other co-leaders or the leader. Leaders and co-leaders could also have the ability to start guild events if those are added in the future.

Maybe 4 different Faction Types. Each with different percentage or circumstantial perks.

In the interest of the economy maybe have the option to build various clan rooms, defenses, offensive drones etc. Could use Energy cells and Tech parts along with btc to produce or build them. This could help with market boosting and encourage buying and selling. Also have a clan function for clan btc bank to store created items/ btc used for constructing.

Maybe an incrementally based clan base level system that depends on a certain level of created and manufactured items.

Also perhaps a "world btc market" where a percentage of every player btc transaction gets "translated" into a global economic index currency.

This option could open the door to making a hacking aspect of the game (pvp)with skills/ computer defense systems (individual and clan based) hacking programs. Only the global index currency could be hacked or stolen(not btc) However the index currency could be exchanged at a fluctuating rate for btc.

Lastly limit players to max two accounts please, for the sake of a healthy and fair market. 💰🤓

sry didn't see this earlier, suggestion below:
a clan leveling system would definitely be very good
Higher level clans can give boosts to individual stat
clan based manufacturing, for example powerful weapons and gears that can ONLY be manufactured by clans and assigned to its members. For example manufacturing a primary weapon takes 12 hours, and occupies a production line.
Two base production line, can expand by leveling up clans.
Clan experience can be obtained by members participating in clan dungeons, for example every mob killed gives 1000 exp.
Clan wallet, can be donated by members, which can be used to manufacture gears.
A clan base that can be designed and built by members, which can produce resources (BTC, etc) for all members of the clan.
e.g.
Building a quantum BTC miner, gives its members 1000 btc per hour. Can be leveled up to enhance its effects.

Update from last suggestion .

Mega gang dungeons.
All gang members when entering dungeons have same basic stats. 1 available module upgrade for each weapon of players choice. They have to craft themselves. All weapons are basic no precision or stunning. This leaves everyone on the same level playing field.
Points awarded for % of dungeon complete. Weekly dungeons. 4 dungeons over 4 weeks. Players can leave fights anytime and leave dungeon. If you are killed a revival timer comes into effect. You can't re enter until timer runs down.

Points go onto a leaderboard. Example 50% complete 5 point. 100% complete 10 points.
So maximum of 40 points over 4 weeks. Numbers can be adjusted to suit Dev.

Reward system. Get maximum points the gang box on profile will display red for epic status.

Earn 30 points the gang box on profile would display legendary purple box.
Ect.... Ect.... Down to 10 points.

Not sure how you could implement the colour might be a problem with mod colours and paid profile colours. or instead of colour add a line in gang profile box stating epic gang legendary gang rare gang.

Other option could be if you are in a gang your clan tag could show the colour status of your gang. Would probably have to black out or white out the top edge of chat box where name goes as we already have colours. This will provide bragging rights to gangs.

This status is in effect until the end of the next run as if you score less points the colour status is lowered.

Other rewards little incentive for all members to take part. Reawads only available to members that complete 5% . Percentage status of each member can be added next to name in gang chat for other members to see. This will encourage chat and strategy for all members to receive a reward. Or could result in waiting for members to do there part of they don't show up it's a race against time for others to step in to get maximum points.
Dungeons to include lots of bosses in same rooms as well as normal enemies . Players will provide there own ammo and meds. Players can be capped at certain amount of % done this option will require active gangs to make getting 40 points harder say 10% this means if you have 6 inactive in gang challenge can still be done.

If its to much to implement a mega dungeon for now a simple way would be gang achievements over a week.
Point system again for each challenge complete. Like so many dungeons completed this would mean we can use dungeons already in the game for now and look at mega dungeons in the future. Then build from there.
Feel free to criticize or build on my idea.

  1. A separate chat for dungeon invites and for player trading.

  2. If PvP becomes a thing,
    -Hide inventory, equiped items
    -A spy system why you can itentify items on a player based on some statistic
    -Bounty system where players can place bounties on a player to have them hunted.

Clan specific boosts are a great idea to start getting people into the clans ... the more the clan plays the better the chances to get shield, regen, damage or health boosts for all clan players. This will also automatically decide clan ranks because obviously the more they play the better, people can still play individual strats and the clan makes a lot of sense too.

More functionality from the website to app - auto-scrap. Join dungeon by ID. (possibly join from the dungeon code.

Improve tutorial. Searching in the store via mobile so I can find what I want(can do this on the web)

I'd like to see
Gang wars (for pillage resources and occ points)
Gang special ops (steal resources/occ points, % money from every member, random equipment from random members)
Build defence protections against raids and special ops
Random weekly goals for special rewards (with a rank by time, 1st - best reward to 3rd worst reward)
Smaller guilds may try to create unrest in top guild, making top ranked to produce more guild resources to avoid breaking up
Great rewards for all who brought a top guild down (more rewards for the biggest participants) and bigger rewards for the guild who is able to hold consecutive weeks on top

All this have to consider bigger/better guilds vs weaker/newer ones. For example, a big older guild is better pillaging, but a small, more agressive one is better in special ops

may i suggest of Gang Trade Market.

  • any resources gain secifically from gang related tasks/ mission/ quests would be on sale.
  • there will be small cost needed to keep on sale.
  • can do resources intertrade between gang in big batch.
  • trading would need both side to input /press agreed button to avoid fraud.
  • trading can be in btc/ resources/ units/ equips/ or mix of any all of them as long both parties consent to the trade.
  • suggest to give /made some trade quest for certain level of privilages in GTM.
  • selling of equipments / caches must be above legendary due to there already market for that tier.
  • people can bids on it and must goes gang trading when winning the bidding.
  • the bidding must be in the form of gang own resources/ wealths ( own gang members need to contribute to increase own gang resources).
  • only leader or /and vice leader may do the bidding. if both are absent, they may need to appoint temporary agent.

Both for thematic reasons and for keeping competition active for Occupation Leaderboard, I suggest the following changes to Gang tasks:

  1. Collecting Protection Fees reduces the gang's Occupation Control by 1. This is thematic because a community will only tolerate so much BS from gangs before they revolt and/or stop paying protection fees. It also keeps the leaderboard competitive by reducing the MASSIVE lead first and second place tend to achieve (thus making it more achievable for other gangs to achieve that position themselves). The following are simply balancing ideas to prevent members from leeching off of the efforts of their gang allies.
  2. The task that turns gang crates into Occupation Control rewards the player a new, untradeable resource that can only be used to activate the "Collect Protection Fees" task.
  3. A gang member can only Collect Protection Fees if A) they have Resource X, and B) the gang's current Resource and BTC balance are enough to survive the current upkeep cycle.

Optionally: also make "Collect Protection Fees" available to more of the leaderboard (or perhaps just all gangs in general)

Seriously dislike the mission that requires the gang be top 2 in occupation. Maybe rewards could be tiered so others could still try. Higher occupation better rewards but not based on rank, especially such a small range.

So, may be it was written by other people, but:

  1. Add gang-public-storage, where members can keep their low-lvl equip, AI chores and so on (I mean all loot, U can have)
  2. Add gang-only boosters (m.b not so powerful as public)
  3. Boost reload system, because very difficult to check progress and wait 30min refreshing stats in gang info
  4. Expand top2 to top10 (m.b top15) in occupation

I think, as there is no PvP yet, Gang Wars against NPC Gangs would be tight. Maybe a similar background tracking system like Gang Upkeep where a Gang Member dying to the warring NPC gang has a 5% drop of certain Gang aspects like Bitcoins, Gang XP, and/or Gang Resources. If this idea would be implemented, a tiered system for benefits or detriments depending on the progress of the war would be cool similar to how you personally get a bonus against a gang type and a negative to another gang type.

Maybe set as a weekly event or a war with thresholds that can only be committed once a month. Maybe while Gang War is active, 10% of all Gang Member related contributions go towards the war instead of the Player Gang. Idk how it'd work logistically, though I can't imagine it being too hard, but having an extra, say, 2% bonus to XP/BTC per other Gang Members participating in the Gang War dungeons is given as a better incentive to work together actively while also helping to balance that idea of the 10% Gang contributions can be nullified.

Rewards & Detriments for the Gang War depending on winning or losing in the end can be something like a 1% bonus to contributions to the gang for all gang members (preferably participating Gang Members) if won or 1% general upkeep if the war is lost that is active until the next Gang War or an allotted time like a week or a month. An idea to help this could also be the same functionality as inviting global to your personal dungeon but instead you have the option during the war to send the invite to the Gang Chat instead for quality of life.

There's a lot of other ideas I have in line with this, too, but I've already written so much.
@DexterHuang if this seems like something you'd like to implement (should the community like the idea) then I'd be super happy to write up a detailed report of sorts as a draft to send to you or post up so it's easier to see what can be/should be/shouldn't be implemented as well as adhering to feedback.

Gang Archetypes could be cool. Esp with a bonus for the gang on Gang Activities.
**IF this was to be implemented, could be a Bonus/Drawback System. As a single suggestion of what that can be like, each Archetype has a con that correlates directly to a different Archetype. Like Money Centric Gangs get their regular benefit at the expense of the bonus that Thief Centric Gangs do.

Offensive Gangs (would be nice to have a specific name for each type) could have a bonus towards Territory Occupation.
Money Centric Gangs can have a bonus towards BTC contributions
Thief Centric Gangs could have a bonus towards the Gang's Storage missions
Industrial Style Gangs could have a bonus to automatic recycler that boosts the 20% bonus for Tech Frags to 25% instead
Hacker based Gangs could gain 100 instead of 80 Breach Progress since it's for the good of the whole community rather than just themselves.
Operator based Gangs could have an overall 10% as a starting point or towards the 80% max threshold on all Gang Activities being that much quicker.

These are very basic, straight to the point of what things could be like. The numbers would change ofc. Possibly needing a Gang to reach Level 10 before they can choose a Specialization like any of the examples above. Maybe the Spec can only change via BTC Tax Payment/Slotted Timetable Threshold/May only be changed after 24 hours after choosing a Spec but can only change 3 times (for example) before being blocked from it - or it scales up in cost and/or time like the system of buying extra stall or bank space.

Another quick idea to throw out there in line with this is maybe having each Archetype grant gang members a chance to roll a specific stat like Regen or Bargain or Dmg when Printing by a small percentage where the qualities like those examples correlate to the type of Gang.

Another idea:
Units that can be spent on Gang cosmetics specifically like a Gang Emblem in Chat and/or on a characters profile. Chat box cosmetics or profiles could potentially have a small bio section that's specifically related to the Gang? Prob would need Moderators to police it like they do chat and/or have a number of preset phrasing options like "Top BTC Contributor of Gang X" / "I have the most occupational spaces in my Gang" / "I was recruited on Day X - or - X Days ago." / "I am the leader of Gang X" / etc

QoL idea: Social button that shows a little yellow indicator when you get mail or when you're looking through other parts of the Social aspect gives the same indicator for regular chat so it's easier to know when someone posts in the clan chat.

QoL Idea: Idk how logistics would work, maybe a timed vote or leader has sole permission to sell the gang to someone else (one way or another) where the gang members (preferably active ones) get a share of the trade? I thought of this when someone joked about wanting to buy the gang I'm in because they want the tag for their gang.

QoL idea: Even if a member doesn't have the ability to invite someone to the gang, maybe they can request an invitation so that the leader or those with permission to recruit can send an invite when ready. Could help with people playing with RL friends or people who really want to be in that particular gang or something.

QoL suggestion:

Custom gang rules and announcements in the Gang page (separate tabs/pages).

Rules can be limited by word/character limits. But it will help to maintain order and new members as well.

Announcements should ping all the members of the gang. Also, previous announcements can be found here.
