Would using a proxy increase throughput?

I was wondering, as I don't know if the rate limit is based on the Reset token or the requester's IP.
I wanted to make a cluster of VMs on GCP that sends requests, obviously all of them would have different IPs, that's why I wanted to ask if there's something similar you've tried before.

I haven't tried this myself.

I assume that doing this would probably get your target account locked. Either due to:

1. Discord automatically locking/"securing" an account under attack
2. Discord banning an account for being targetted

I've not heard of either possibility actually happening, but I would be wary if I were you.
