[wishlist] xmlid helpers

I would appreciate a helper in the library to lookup rows by xmlid and associate an xmlid to a record.

Ideally the lookup helper would be able to use xmlid_lookup with Odoo >= 8 (optimized with a server side cache).

in our data integration project we have create a little odoo module (only in v10 for the moment) witch add function to exhange id with xml_id

perhaps it couls be help you
