Describe the bug

Initially reported in Slack, but I've also reproduced this by just using the dspace-7_x branch. When you initially visit the "Browse by Date" page, the "Year" dropdown doesn't load any initial values. If you reload the page, or visit the page a second time, the Years will often load.

This almost seems like a caching or data load issue? No errors appear in logs or in browser's DevTools console.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Make sure you are running dspace-7_x or 7.6.2. It appears this issue may have begun in 7.6.2
  2. Visit the homepage
  3. Go immediately to "All of DSpace -> By Issue Date"
  4. Open the "Year" dropdown on this page. It will likely be empty.

Expected behavior

Obviously the Year dropdown should load properly.

Related work

Unclear what started this behavior, but it seems to have begun in 7.6.2. Behavior did not occur in 7.6.1
Might be related to fixes applied in #2808 ?

Closing as this was fixed by #3411. Fix will be first included in 7.6.3
