Dear all,

I continue testing ways to register and login. I previously added myself for testing purposes to "My Collaboration" with an alternative email address I use. This address has not been used to registered before i.e. there was no Chemotion Repository account with this email address before. I received an empty welcome email (edit: already solved with #74) but couldn't login, as the password was not set (connect to #75).

However, I could login via an separate ORCID iD registered for the alternative email address, went to "Change Password" and tried to set a password. However, I couldn't set a password as the existing password is not allowed to be blank but was not set or is unknown. I was unhappy and read at the bottom of that page: "Cancel my account, Unhappy?" and pressed the button to cancel the account.

The, I tried to login via the alternative ORCID iD again at arrive at:

I provided all the information an pressed "Sign up" and received an email to confirm my account. I tried to login via the test ORCID iD before I confirmed my account and this gave, as expended, "You have to confirm your email address before continuing". Consequently, I confirmed the email address via the link in the mail I had received and arrived at this page with the error message, "Email was already confirmed, please try signing in":

(Btw: This page is all but pretty)

This is possibly due to having an account with the same email address before, which was canceled, but this error message should be actually not shown.

Best,
Tillmann

Edit: Sorry for the poor readability. I have made some edits and hope this is now understandable.
