If a breach or burn in a hardsuit is mended with duct tape, it counts as "fixed" and thus trying to repair it with steel sheets or a welder as appropriate brings up the "No breaches/Surface damage to repair!" message.
Feels pretty unintentional that a mechanically temporary fix with tape should prevent real repairs, even if it just needs the addition of a right-click option to remove tape repairs.
