[New Feature]: Pirates Who Don't Sell Items #11537
Comments
How does this differ in any way from normal pirates |
I think the major difference is that they can't sell the ore silo nor armoury, making them not as ideal to hit. Normally, if you hit them, you are double rewarded with money and crippling the station. This could very well be applied to the pirates we currently have, but I think the current pirates serve as a round ender rather than a chance of making an interesting situation. |
Currently, the pirates are insanely equipped with a ton of guns and explosives. This means repairs are difficult if not impossible for the station crew. Not to mention that they usually spawn about 10 to 20 minutes before the shuttle docks, making it impossible to do anything interesting. |

Describe the feature request
I'd like it if we had pirates who could spawn mid-game or early game who didn't have the objective of gaming on all the Security Officers and instead were expected to get regular cash by any method they desire. Most notably kidnapping crewmembers and holding them for ransom. It would definitely encourage RP. They could even capture other things, even the ore silo! Which you could then get back by paying them for it and holding an exchange meeting.
