Hi, It appears that this causes a system crash. Not sure why, or if it is a combination of apps running, but it is a bummer, because it is super handy. I also like the idea from ProductHunt that suggests a menu-bar option for quick access.

Thanks!

Thanks for your feedback. It's hard to know why it crash, I have try one 3 laptops and it was smooth. I will update the project to the new react desktop version to see if it helps.
About the menubar, I think it's a great idea but it's currently not possible via react-desktop. I will try to hack something in Objective C.

Sounds good, let me know when you update it and I will happily try it!

It's a first try but I have a little bug (probably due to the framework I use), stay tuned !

Hi, excuse me for the late reply, I was quite busy.
So here a first demo, the know issues is that you have to focus on the application before being able to click on a color and you cannot quite from the app (you need to kill the process).
Looking forward for your feedback !

Hello!

Thanks for taking the time to follow up with me - that is kind.

I like it! I will test it out in practical situations, and let you know if there is any problem.

Will you be able to add the ability to quit? I don’t know how to kill the process, but I’ll follow up with you if I need to :-)

I’d also change the toolbar icon to your logo instead of ‘MC’, it will look nicer.

Will you release this as v.2 when you iron out the bugs (if any)?

Barnaby.

Thanks to you. I will add a button to quit and change the logo yes !

If it works properly, it will be the next release.

Hi Fabien,

I found another thing I would recommend adding: the option to open on restart. This way, I the user does not have to open the software when they want to use it - it is always available.

I think both this and the option to quit could be right in the bottom of the application window (a checkbox for ‘open on restart’, and ‘quit’ button), rather than a separate ‘preferences’ option. Best to keep it simple.

I hope that is helpful!

Barnaby.
