I now have over 200 different package types. It takes quite a while to find the specific box in this mess.

Can you please add the 3-5 lines of code to sort the array before displaying the list in the drop-down. I am about to break into your code to take care of this for myself. I definitely will after Christmas but I was hoping you'd find the necessary 15 minutes in the last 2 years to take care of this.

Hey @jglazer63 👋 I believe this is related to issue #2659 that you opened a few months ago, right?

The team has been working on improvements to WooCommerce Shipping & Tax that will see the light of day in 2024. While there's not a fixed timeline that we can share, we're aware that package sorting is a pain point for stores with many packages to choose from.

I am about to break into your code to take care of this for myself. I definitely will after Christmas but I was hoping you'd find the necessary 15 minutes in the last 2 years to take care of this.

Other work that impacts a larger number of users has taken priority over this one, unfortunately. Open source software like WooCommerce Shipping & Tax is community driven, so everyone is welcome to contribute with code here on GitHub.
