Bags are 100% treated as basically mobile banks. So this sort of behavior would require a LOT of additional logic and a lot of consideration into performance. Not something I want/intend to take on, but if someone does it well enough I'd consider a PR. |

I'm also against it, due to the fact that if we put things in the bag, we don't want the collection to be modified, consumables should be no exception to the rule |

If you have the same item in your inventory and a bag, for example a potion, food, runes or ammunition and you link it to your hotbar, when you use the item it will only remove 1 of inventory and if you want to keep using it you have to move the item from bag to inventory, because the same item in inventory/bag are not linked.
Describe the solution you'd like
If I have 5 health potions in my inventory and 5 health potions in a bag, when I link it to hotbar allow me to use 10, not 5.
Additional context
For players, keeping track of how many items are inside bags is hard, I believe the item should be linked and if its in the hotbar it should also show the number of remaining items, thats the nirvana.
