[Input Method][Win64] Certain combinations of keystokes with input method crashes the program #5687

Version: Windows x64

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Switch to Pinyin input method in CudaText
  2. Start typing "zhuangbeij"
  3. The program crashes on keystoke "j"

Demo video:

I tried launching the program from CMD/Powershell to capture any log message, but there wasn't any.

It may third party IME bug.
I can't reproduce on Win 11 IME.

@rasberryrabbit I am indeed using a third party IM. Can you try this version and see if you encounter the same issue?

I'm really sorry that I don't install third party IME. I heard it changes many things and it's not my main system language.

Just tried. The same keystroke combination will cause it to crash as well.

"errorlog.txt" file is created after crash.

Weird - didn't find this file. Is it supposed to be created right next to project1.exe?

It created in same folder.

There is issue on other application.

Tried again and confirmed no errorlog.txt was created.

Try use Windows IME compatibility switch, It seem to be Windows IME compatibility problem. It cannot fix by third party application.
