Since compat is considered an optional field as stated here, I assume that i can use compat/ to reset compatibility as well

However, upon typing in the command edit 3 compat/, nothing occurs, no error messages whatsoever

The output in this SS is from the previous try when I was trying edit 3 e/, which works as intended, giving me an error message.

Perhaps you could do the same with compat?
